Forge Pizza closes Jack London location after 12 years
OAKLAND, Calif. - A pizzeria along Jack London Square’s waterfront has closed after more than a decade in business in Oakland.
The owners of Forge Pizza announced Thursday on social media that the eatery has closed after 12 years.
"Our time here was more than just about pizza and beer – it was a vibe. A collaboration between our incredible team and the wonderful guests who joined us, creating an energy that was uniquely Forge," the owners said. "This restaurant was a reflection of all of you, and we couldn't be more grateful for the warmth, the support, and the spirit you brought to our little corner of Oakland."

The restaurant, known for its wood-fired oven pizzas and crispy cheese curds, isn’t leaving Oakland altogether.
The owners said Forge is opening a new location at Oakland International Airport, along with another location in a neighborhood in the city.
