Freeze warning in effect for Bay Area late Monday through Tuesday
OAKLAND, Calif. (BCN) - A freeze warning is in effect for the San Francisco Bay Area from late Monday night through Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.
The warning is in effect from midnight Monday to 9 a.m. Tuesday, weather officials said.
Widespread overnight lows from the mid-20s to the lower 30s are predicted in all inland areas of the Bay Area, according to the weather service.
A freeze warning means sub-freezing temperatures are imminent or highly likely. These conditions will kill crops and other sensitive vegetation.
People are asked to check on the elderly and make sure animals have a warm shelter.
