BERKELEY, Calif. - Parents pay a lot of money for their students to get a good education at the University of California at Berkeley.
And now, on top of a coveted diploma, students’ bragging rights can now include belonging to a prestigious school where the largest human-formed “C” was created in recorded world history.
A total of 7,196 students on Tuesday evening poured onto the football field at Memorial Stadium to create the stunning, and unusual, image, the California Golden Blogs reported. Officials from the Guinness World Record were there to document Cal’s place in history.
"It was great to witness," Aviva Kirsten told KTVU. She photographed the historic event.
The previous record for largest human letter had been held by the University of Tennessee, with 4,223 participants, the Daily Cal reported.
