Body of missing Montana mountaineer found in Glacier National Park
GLACIER NATIONAL PARK, Mont. - The body of a missing Montana mountaineer was found over the weekend in Glacier National Park.
Authorities said Grant Marcuccio, 32, was found deceased Sunday afternoon.
They said it's suspected that he fell to his death, based on his location and the appearance of traumatic injuries. However, the official cause of death is still under investigation.
Two Bear Air spotted his body from the air, about one-third of a mile east of McPartland Peak below the ridgeline between Heavens Peak and McPartland Peak.

Marcuccio was last seen by his hiking party on August 18 before he was separated from the group to climb McPartland Peak alone. He had planned to meet up with the group later at a designated location.
The hiking party then alerted authorities after he failed to return.
"Glacier National Park staff would like to express their sincere condolences to the family and ask that the public respect their privacy," authorities said in a news release.
