SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - Bay Area tech giants Google and Salesforce may soon put in a bid to buy Twitter— the San Francisco-based microblogging site.
CNBC reports the potential sale and that expectations of a takeover increased after recent quarterly earnings showed disappointing growth in Twitter’s number of users.
Twitter’s stock price surged 20 percent when the news broke on Friday.
Tech experts say Twitter could have a $13 billion price tag.
