Gov. Gavin Newsom tests positive for COVID

California Governor Gavin Newsom tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday, according to his staff. 

Newsom is experiencing mild symptoms. 

The governor will work remotely and self-isolate per state health department guidelines. The first partner has tested negative for COVID. 

This is the governor's second positive COVID test. He had the novel coronavirus in spring of 2020
