HEALDSBURG, Calif. (KTVU/BCN) - A 66-year-old Healdsburg man was reported missing after a day hike Thursday in Grand Canyon National Park in Arizona, National Park Service police reported.
Peter Francis Schwab was last seen after a day hike to the Narrows in National Canyon, near river mile 167 about 30 miles west of the South Rim visitor center.
He was part of a river float trip on the Colorado River through the canyon. Schwab was last seen wearing a tan, full-brim hat, white long sleeve shirt, gray cargo shorts and older-style Teva shoes/sandals.
He is 6 feet tall, 235 pounds, with gray hair and hazel eyes.
Grand Canyon rangers are searching the area, and ask that anyone who may have seen Schwab to contact the NPS ISB Tip Line at (888) 653-0009.
