Hidden camera in jukebox recorded kids, police say
BROWARD COUNTY, Fla. (WOFL FOX 35) - Authorities arrested a Florida man who is accused of placing hidden cameras inside two jukeboxes that were given to neighbors as gifts for their children.
Robert Anthony O'Hare, 54, of Mount Dora, was taken into custody in Broward County on Wednesday, arrested on multiple charges stemming from an investigation that began last fall.
In October 2015, O'Hare was arrested by detectives for possession of child pornography. Detectives said they have since discovered that O'Hare placed hidden cameras in two miniature jukeboxes that were delivered to children who live in a home in his neighborhood. O'Hare was able to remotely record the children, they say, and those videos were found by detectives during their investigation.
In addition, O'Hare had apparently produced numerous videos of the children by using the telescopic lens and camera found in his closet during the initial search of his home in 2015, authorities say.
Hundreds of downloaded pornographic videos were also located on the devices, many showing children of various ages engaged in sexually explicit activity with adults, according to an arrest report.
O'Hare faces charges of video voyeurism and sexual performance by a child. Bond was set at $255,000.
