A suspect in a white vehicle sped across the East Bay on Thursday, weaving onto and off of I-580, after a traffic stop in Oakland where multiple passengers fled on foot and the driver raced onto the highway, according to police.

The incident seemingly came to an end when the driver parked the vehicle and fled into the Coliseum BART station.

The vehicle was first pulled over near E. 16th Street and Fruitvale Ave. and "multiple passengers fled on foot," and then the driver of the vehicle fled the area, the Oakland Police Department said in a statement.

Police were seen chasing the white vehicle that wove onto and off of I-580 and multiple city streets throughout the East Bay.

Around 2:46 p.m. the vehicle parked at the Coliseum BART station and a suspect was seen fleeing the vehicle on foot into the station.
