Historic site of Albany Bowl could be replaced with housing: report

ALBANY, Calif. - The historic Albany Bowl site could be replaced with housing.

Last December, Albany Bowl on San Pablo Avenue closed for good because of impacts from the pandemic.

The East Bay Times reports that the site could now be used for a new mixed housing project.

That would include apartments, and some affordable housing, as well as retail shops.

The city's planning commission is set to review the project next week.
