With a TikTok ban set to happen following the Supreme Court’s ruling on Friday, users now will have to retrieve their data before the ban goes into effect on Jan. 19.

Ahead of the ban, users can request their TikTok data like your username, video downloads, likes, and comments.

Transferring your TikTok data

  2. Select the categories you'd like to transfer and tap Continue.
  3. Return to the third-party app to confirm that your data has been transferred.

What they're saying:

TikTok says on its support page that some user data may not be available to download, like data that affects the privacy of others.

Based on processing times, the last 24 to 48 hours of some data categories may not be included in your file. Users can make another request after this time period for more recent data.

People with questions about their data request can reach out to TikTok through their online form
