SANTA ROSA, Calif. - A shooting in the 1900 block of Sebastopol Road left one man dead Saturday night, according to Santa Rosa police.
Officers responded to a 9:19 p.m. report about a gunshot victim, according to a news release issued shortly after 3 a.m. Sunday by the Santa Rosa Police Department.
Upon arrival, officers found a man who had been shot at least once prone in the parking lot. Officers provided medical aide until paramedics arrived, and the man was transported to a local hospital where he was pronounced dead.
An initial investigation determined the victim was in the parking lot when two suspects approached him and fired multiple rounds from handguns, striking the victim multiple times. The shooters then fled the area.
Police urge anyone with information about the incident to contact the department through its online tip line.
A reward of up to $2,500 is being offered by the Sonoma County Alliance Community Engagement and Safety Rewards Fund for information leading to the arrest of the suspect or suspects involved in this homicide.
