Released inmate steals golf cart to get to BART, the Alameda County Sheriff says
DUBLIN, Calif. - The Alameda County Sheriff's department is looking for a man who they say committed a crime the minute he was released from jail.
In a tweet, the sheriff's office said the man stole the Santa Rita Jail's maintenance golf cart to get to the Dublin Pleasanton BART station.
Authorities found the cart in one piece, but now they are looking to give that man a ride back to jail, on a theft charge.
