Missing autistic boy from Danville found safe

DANVILLE, Calif. (KTVU) -- The Danville Police Department on Thursday night has safely located an eight-year-old autistic boy from Danville who had gone missing. 

Eric Schneider was last seen at 7 p.m. leaving the front door of his house near the intersection of Monte Carlo Drive and Fontaine Way.  He was on a Razor scooter with wheels that light up, wearing a green shirt with an image of a seal and grey sweatpants. 

Authorities tweeted at around 10:15 that Eric had been found safe near the intersection of Camino Tassajara and Diablo Road.
