More than 4,000 PG&E customers without power in San Ramon area

An underground transformer in San Ramon is the cause for a power outage affecting 4,361 customers Monday night. 

Pacific Gas & Electric said the outage in Contra Costa County started at 8:14 p.m. and affected up to 5,664 customers at its peak. 

There is no estimated time of restoration of power.
