Mulch burning in Hollister can be smelled for miles

HOLLISTER, Calif. - People in Gilroy may smell smoke on Tuesday morning because of a fire burning near Hollister.

The fire is burning at Clean Green Recycling Center.

CalFire says a large pile of mulch caught fire and firefighters are trying to stop it from spreading.

Several roads around the scene are closed.

Officials said it may take a few days to fully put out the fire because of what's burning.
