The family of 18-year-old Gabbi Lemos, is suing the Sheriff's Office on claims of police brutality.

Last June, a deputy was investigating what he thought may have been a possible domestic disturbance.

The plaintiffs say he acted improperly, by starting the confrontation through opening a door to the family's truck, without reasonable suspicion.

But the Sheriff's Office says the videos show that the deputies who responded, acted with restraint and tried to de-escalate the situation.

The family says 18-year-old Gabbi Lemos, was badly beaten and suffered two black eyes.
