NOVATO, Calif. - A high school in Novato is on lockdown due to a nearby robbery, police said just after noon Thursday.
Police secured Novato High School on Arthur Street and are employing K-9 units, drones and officers in the operation. Police are working with Novato Unified School District staff members to investigate the robbery, the department said.
Officers are searching around the campus for the individuals allegedly involved in the robbery. Police also created a perimeter in the area.
Community members should expect police activity on streets surrounding the school, Novato police said. People are asked to avoid the area.
