Oakland fashion designer creates dress from BART tickets
OAKLAND, Calif. (KTVU) - An Oakland fashion designer saved his BART tickets for three years, and turned them into a dress.
According to BART, fashion designer Sean Porter created the dress out of 192 BART tickets.
Porter worked on the project over the course of about three months. Porter said he wanted to challenge himself to create a great looking dress from a unique material, according to BART.
Porter says the design of the dress was inspired by the lines of the Transamerica Pyramid.
The dress is on display at Piedmont Fabric in Oakland. It sits next a mannequin decorated in colorful ribbons that represent the BART map.
The dress will be on display through the end of March.
