OAKLAND, Calif. - A man was arrested for the Friday shooting death of another man near Lake Temescal, according to Oakland police.
Police said the suspect is an Oakland resident.
Police were notified about the shooting just before 7:45 p.m. at the 6500 block of Broadway.
Responding officers found a person suffering from at least, but possibly more than, one gunshot wound, including one in his chest.
Medical personnel arrived, but the unidentified victim was pronounced dead. Investigators said the victim lived in Berkeley.
The victim's identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
