Oakland police officer struck while walking in hit & run, driver arrested
OAKLAND, Calif. (BCN) - A police officer was struck by a vehicle in a hit-and-run in Oakland this afternoon, according to police.
The incident occurred around 2:45 p.m., according to Officer James Moore, but information about where the crash occurred was not immediately available.
The officer was struck by a vehicle while walking. The driver fled, but officers were able to take him into custody, Moore said.
