First Fridays in Oakland canceled this month

First Friday in Oakland is canceled on Jan. 7 because of coronavirus concerns.

OAKLAND, Calif. - Organizers of Oakland's First Fridays have canceled the upcoming event scheduled for Jan. 7 due to the surge in coronavirus cases.

The free, monthly arts and community gathering is scheduled to resume next month, on Feb. 4. 

First Fridays is located along Telegraph Avenue between West Grand and 27th Street from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on the first Friday of the month.
