Officials now say only one person has died in a small plane crash in Oregon.

Originally, it was reported that two people died in the Saturday crash. Now, officials say only the pilot died.

The FAA says the single engine home-built plane crashed on approach to the Madras Airport in Oregon.

Many people are gathering in Madras to watch tomorrow's solar eclipse.

The pilot died when the plane crashed into a deep ravine.

The crash did start a small brush fire, but was quickly put out.

There are several reports that the plane took off from the San Carlos airport but the names of the people on-board have not been released.
