An overturned big rig shut down lanes of eastbound Interstate 80, near the Appian Way exit in Pinole early Friday morning.

According to  CHP Officer Nathan White, just before 3 a.m., a Toyota Camry ended up on the roadway, with a suspected drunk driver passed out behind the wheel.

The big rig swerved to avoid hitting the Camry, but overturned the tractor trailer in the process, White said.

The CHP is estimating that the road will reopen at 7 a.m.

The big rig driver was hurt, but there were no other reported injuries.

Authorities arrested the Camry driver on suspicion of DUI.
