Parked truck with dogs inside rolls into cars, slams into home; 2 injured, dogs loose
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - A truck carrying as many as nine dogs in back, crashed into parked cars, rolled off the road and slammed into a building. The accident, near 26th and Santiago Street in San Francisco's Parkside neighborhood, happened around 3:15 p.m.officials said.
One adult and one child were transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries. They are expected to be okay. The owners of the dogs have been contacted and authorities comforted them until they were picked up. Two dogs are still missing in the area, according to San Francisco Fire Department.
After the crash, three dogs jumped out of the vehicle and ran off. The six remaining dogs were shaken up, but otherwise uninjured, according to SF Fire Dept. spokesperson Jonathan
Baxter.
A witness said the truck was double parked, when the brakes apparently gave way and started to roll. Several cars were hit, including one with a child inside.
San Francisco Fire is asking the public to avoid the area.
