Person struck by BART train, police say
SAN FRANCISCO - A person was struck by a BART train Saturday evening in San Francisco, according to BART police.
The incident occurred between the Civic Center and Powell BART stations. BART officials said a medical emergency is what's causing a major delay.
BART police confirmed with KTVU that a person was struck by a train and say it's currently unknown why the person was on the track.
There is no red line service from Richmond to Millbrae and the blue line service is only occurring from the Dublin/Pleasanton station to the West Oakland station.
Police are investigating the incident.
