Petaluma man arrested for DUI after crashing into parked car
PETALUMA, Calif. (BCN) - No one was injured after a drunken driving suspect's car became airborne and ended up crashing into another vehicle in Petaluma on Friday night, police said.
Cristian Albert Bernal-Angulo, 23, was driving westbound on Prospect Street at high speeds and ran a stop sign at Keokuk Street at about 9:30 p.m., according to Petaluma police.
Bernal-Angulo lost control and his car became airborne, crashing into a parked pickup and pushing that vehicle into a telephone pole, police said.
The suspect's car then spun and landed in the front yard of a house on the opposite side of the street.
No injuries were reported in the crash.
Bernal-Angulo, a resident of Petaluma, admitted to being involved in the collision and exhibited signs and symptoms of being under the influence of alcohol, according to police.
His blood alcohol content was measured at .116 percent, authorities said.
Bernal-Angulo was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence and was booked at the Sonoma County Jail.
