PG&E announces 450 support jobs to be cut
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - Today PG&E announced 450 support jobs will be cut with 60 of those employees being moved into new roles.
The utility said it has also eliminated 800 non-employee contract jobs in addition to not filling 500 open positions.
The company said by reducing the cost of support services, it can invest in safety initiatives and modernizing of the grid.
