Oakland police investigate deadly shooting

The Thursday morning shooting claimed the life of a man, police said.

OAKLAND, Calif - A man was shot to death Thursday morning in East Oakland, police said.

Dispatchers received a call at 7:09 a.m. about a shooting in the 1300 block of 83rd Avenue, about a block west of International Boulevard.

Officers went there and located a man with fatal gunshot wounds, according to police.

No other details were immediately provided by police.
