SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - Police released two videos Saturday of a suspect setting fire to a gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender mural in San Francisco's Inner Mission neighborhood last month.
Officers responded at 11:10 p.m. June 29 to a report of a building fire at the corner of 24th and Bryant streets. Officers found a mural belonging to the Galeria De La Raza on fire. Galeria De La Raza is a nonprofit arts organization, according to its website.
The video shows a person squirting a liquid onto the mural and lighting the liquid. The fire burns the mural for about a minute and a half, according to the video.
Police are describing the suspect as a 6 feet tall, 190-pound male wearing black pants, a black sweatshirt, white gloves, white tennis shoes, and a black cloth on the bottom half of his face.
Police said the suspect was last seen running south on Bryant Street.
