SANTA ROSA, Calif. (KTVU) - Usually when someone writes to the police, officers do not visit the writer.
6-year-old Chhiring was an exception.
Two Santa Rosa Police officers visited the young girl after she wrote a letter explaining her thoughts on police being "nice to good people".
When the department received her letter in the mail, Officer Jason Brandt and Officer Brian Sinigiani showed up on the young girl's doorstep to meet her and hear her letter in person.
The letter read:
"Dear Police
I am happy because you are nice to other people and you capture bad people and you be nice to good people and be nice to us and you are helpful to everyone and care [for[ us.
Please rite back to me."
On the letter, Chhiring drew hearts and wrote "I love you police".
