At 4:00 p.m. Sunday, Pope Francis celebrated the Closing Mass for the 2015 World Meeting of Families on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway.

The Holy Father addressed a crowd who gathered near the steps of the Philadelphia Art Museum, and in front of 40-odd jumbotrons throughout Center City.

10,000 free tickets to the Sunday mass were made available back on September 8th, and were quickly claimed within 30 seconds.

In 1979, Pope John Paul II celebrated mass in the same location. That mass had an estimated attendance of 400,000.
