Portion of Hwy 101 in Redwood City reopens ahead of schedule
REDWOOD CITY, Calif. - A portion of northbound Highway 101 in Redwood City is back open Sunday night ahead of schedule.
Caltrans had shut down the freeway between Whipple Avenue and Holly Street Friday to replace a bridge.
The freeway was due to reopen Monday morning at 5 a.m. but Caltrans says work was completed 14 hours ahead earlier than expected.
