Power out for nearly 20,000 PG&E customers in San Jose
SAN JOSE, Calif. (BCN) - Nearly 20,000 PG&E customers lost power in San Jose Monday morning, according to the utility.
The outage was reported at about 8:30 a.m. in west San Jose where an equipment failure led to the loss of power for about 19,300 customers, PG&E spokeswoman Mayra Tostado said.
Crews responded and restored power to about 7,500 of those customers as of 9 a.m., but the rest remain affected by the outage, Tostado said.
PG&E crews are continuing to work to restore power to the rest of the customers and have not yet determined the cause of the outage, she said.
