SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) -- Crews were working Wednesday to restore power to parts of San Francisco after customers in the area lost electricity apparently after a fire broke out on top of a PG&E utility pole in the area.

Crews were called to the Noe Valley area, which is in the central part of San Francisco, shortly before 10 a.m. Authorities said shortly after 11 a.m. that about 780 customers were still affected by the outage, down from over 7,500 when the outage was first reported.

Officials said a fire reported on a PG&E utility pole near the upper Noe Recreation Center was said to have led to the outage.

No injuries have been reported.
