Oakland rapper killed at beauty supply store opening
An East Bay rapper known as TanDaGod was killed over the weekend. Her friends say she was shot while attending an event at a beauty shop in Oakland. The artist with over 20,000 followers on Instagram had a bright future ahead of her.
OAKLAND, Calif. - A man has been arrested following the shooting death of Oakland rapper Alliauna Green, 27, known as Tan DaGod.
Dominic Gates, 30, was arrested on July 18 and is facing a murder charge from the Alameda County District Attorney. He has also been charged with assault with a firearm, shooting at an inhabited dwelling/vehicle and shooting at an uninhabited dwelling/vehicle.
Gates, also a rapper, known as BNC4Nero, has three previous felony convictions, including a conviction for pimping a girl between the ages of 16 and 17.

Green was promoting a grand reopening of Glamor Beauty Supply on July 14 at 40th and Telegraph when she was shot. Friends who spoke with KTVU say they believe her shooting was targeted. The motive for the shooting has not yet been released by police.
Mistah F.A.B.—who posted on his social media accounts about the shooting—claimed on his account that he was supposed to be where TanDaGod was when she was killed.
