House fire in Alameda

Fire crews at the scene of a house fire in Alameda on Monday, March 1, 2021.

Residents at a home in Alameda were evacuated Monday afternoon after flames tore through the dwelling. 

The fire broke out around 1 p.m. in the 2800 block of Central Avenue between Mound and Versailles. 

As Alameda firefighters worked the scene from Oakland firefighters were called in to assist. 

The cause of the fire is unknown at this time.
