A retired CHP officer is being credited with saving the life of a baby involved in a car crash.

According to The Fresno Bee, the child's mother was driving in Visalia on November 21, when she lost control and her car rolled over.

Mike Spicer, who served as a California Highway Patrol officer for 27 years, happened to be driving down the same road and came across the crash.

Witnesses said the baby boy was not breathing when Spicer arrived, but he was able to revive the child by giving him CPR.
