Richmond removes 70 abandoned cars
RICHMOND, Calif. - Seventy abandoned cars were removed from the streets of Richmond.
The city's parking enforcement team identified and removed the cars for creating blight issues in the neighborhood.
It comes after community complaints of abandoned and hazardous cars.
Richmond city leaders say the operation is a reminder that vehicles on public roads, with expired registrations of more than six months, or parked longer than 72 hours, can be impounded.
