FREMONT, Calif. - Fremont police on Monday began searching for two robbers who smashed a stolen truck through the front window of a liquor store.
The store clerk told KTVU that the robbers used a truck to break the window to get inside Meadow Square Liquor on Blacow Road at Grimmer about 5 a.m., then tried to grab the cash register.
They were able to steal a case full of lottery tickets, cigarettes and part of the cash register, police said.
The truck, stolen from Hayward, was found later with the suspects nowhere in sight, police said.
