Ross Palombo previews the Iowa Caucuses
DES MOINES, Iowa (KTVU) - The first vote of the 2016 presidential campaign is Monday, with the Iowa Caucuses.
KTVU political reporter, Ross Palombo appeared live from Des Moines, Iowa on Sunday’s Mornings on 2.
He spoke with Dr. Andy McGure with the Democratic Party, and Republican Presidential Candidate, Mike Huckabee, during the newscast.
Huckabee commented on the controversy surrounding Texas Senator Ted Cruz, regarding mailers sent out by Cruz’s campaign, grading them on their participation in caucuses.
Cruz is in second place in Iowa, according to the final Des Moines register/Bloomberg Politics poll.
Donald Trump leads with 28%, followed by Cruz at 27%.
Florida Senator Marco Rubio is at 15% and Dr. Ben Carson has dropped to 10%.
While New Jersey Governor Chris Christie is at 3%, and Huckabee, Jeb Bush, Carly Fiorina, John Kasich and Rick Santorum are each at 2%.
