GOLDEN GATE BRIDGE - Two toll booths on the Golden Gate Bridge were still closed Wednesday morning, after an RV hit part of the toll plaza and got stuck.
The accident occurred Tuesday about 9 p.m. as the RV was headed into San Francisco, and lanes three and five were still closed as of 6:30 a.m. Wednesday. The driver suffered a leg injury.
This isn't the first time a vehicle has crashed into the toll booth area, and bridge officials have been working on a $7-million plan to get rid of the human-less booths altogether and replace it with a structure that uses motion sensors to charge cars for the ride across the bridge.
