SamTrans buses to see disruptions in service
Amalgamated Transit Union (ATU) Local 1574, the union that represents nearly 400 SamTrans essential workers such as bus operators and utility workers, has rejected the company's latest contract proposal and plans on a sickout for the upcoming week.
FOSTER CITY, Calif. - After weekend talk of a possible labor disruption, SamTrans on Monday said the transit agency is no longer facing the prospect of a "sickout."
Spokesman Randol White told KTVU that SamTrans is not "anticipating any service disruptions" on Tuesday, either.
He did not elaborate or say what caused the change in plans.

This comes as the two have been negotiating for months, and the union rejected the last proposal back in July.
