San Francisco health officials warn of fake Xanax

San Francisco health officials are issuing a warning about fake Xanax that has been linked to one death and several overdoses.

Officials say the fake Xanax being sold on the streets, contains Fentanyl, an extremely potent opiate that is stronger than morphine.

One person has died and three others were hospitalized after taking the fake Xanax.

A fourth person was found dead with one of the counterfeit pills in their possession.

That death is still under investigation.

Health officials say you should only buy Xanax from a pharmacy with a prescription.
