San Francisco native wins Miss Chinatown USA

SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - A young woman from San Francisco is the new Miss Chinatown USA.

Katherine Wu, 18, took home the crown Saturday night at the Palace of Fine Arts.

There were 12 contestants in the pageant.

They came from all over the country, including Honolulu, Michigan and New York.

Wu has been accepted to Rice University in Houston -- one of the top private schools in the country.

She's also a top archer, and is hoping to compete in the 2020 summer Olympics in Japan.
