San Francisco weather: More rounds of rain
OAKLAND, Calif. - Christmas Day was dry throughout the Bay Area, but that was it for sunny skies until Monday.
The National Weather Service forecasts some more rounds of rain through Sunday.
The first rain arrived Thursday morning, tapered off by noon, and then reappeared in earnest on Thursday evening through Friday morning, meteorologists said.
In Tahoe, there's a winter weather advisory from Thursday until Friday at noon. Forecasters said as much as eight inches of snow might fall along Highway 89 by Friday morning, and up to 20 inches in the higher peaks.
A high surf advisory has been issued along the coast through Sunday at 4 p.m. with swells of 22 feet expected.
