San Jose issue citations, impound cars after illegal sideshow
SAN JOSE, Calif. - In San Jose, more than 200 cars gathered Saturday night, for an illegal sideshow.
The sideshow happened in a parking lot at the intersection of Morrill Avenue and Landess Avenue.
Police issued 15 citations for various violations including the spectating ordinance.
Three vehicles were also impounded for 30 days for sideshow activity.
Officials have been grappling with an apparent increase in sideshows and have explored ways to crack down, possibly by targeting people who promote the gatherings.
