SANTA ROSA, Calif. - Police on Tuesday identified the four people found dead in a Santa Rosa home earlier this month as family members.
While completing a welfare check at the home along Monarch Avenue on last Wednesday, Santa Rosa police discovered the bodies of four individuals ranging from 28 to 67 years old.
Identified as family members
What we know:
The four people were found with gunshot wounds, and one of the victims was found with a handgun nearby.
The Sonoma County coroner identified the individuals as Clive Guth, 67, Donna Guth, 67 and their two children, Cameron Guth, 28, and Raena Guth, 33. The two 67-year-olds were married, police said.
On Jan. 8, police conducted a welfare check at the home after a request from the boyfriend of one of the victims, who hadn't heard from their partner for a "couple" days.
Officers entered the home through a window and found the four individuals in different areas of the home, according to police.

Neighbor reacts
Local perspective:
The home on the 200 block of Monarch Avenue is located in a residential community for people over the age of 55.
Though the case is being investigated as a homicide, police said earlier this month that there was no threat to the public.

News of the deaths shocked neighbors in the community.
"I've never seen them. I noticed the police have been out here a couple of times in the last few months, to that residence, talking to them for whatever disturbance maybe," neighbor Gerri Tapparo told KTVU last week. "But I've never seen anybody come in or out. It’s just always quiet; it seems empty like nobody lives there."
