SF residents advised to avoid area of Taylor Street due to police activity

SAN FRANCISCO - San Francisco emergency personnel advised residents on Sunday afternoon to avoid the area of Taylor Street in the Tenderloin neighborhood.   

In an emergency notification issued at 1:33 p.m., officials said there is police activity on Taylor Street between O'Farrell, Geary and Jones Streets.   

Residents can expect traffic delays and should consider alternate routes.
