SFPD searching for stolen ivory relics, arrest made
SAN FRANCISCO (KTVU) - San Francisco Police Department has identified a suspect in the burglary of an art gallery in which ivory relics valued at over $210,000 were stolen.
Police say 26-year-old Cameron Ybarra made his way stole over 60 ivory figurines on August 18 from the 200 block of Jefferson Street.
Ybarra allegedly forced his way into the building, broke into cabinets and lockers that contained the ivory.
Ybara was already in custody for a separate incident and has now been charged with the ivory-related burglary.
Police say while an arrest has been made, they are still looking to locate the figurines.
